About
The Climate Gathering originated in 2012 when a group of individuals with experience in environmental campaigning and creative dialogue processes brought people together in the Burren College of Art, to consider what new narratives might inspire us all to make the leap we need to make in addressing the issue.
The following year a second gathering was held in the Mansion House in Dublin, which was then followed by a series of climate conversations held in collaboration with trade unions, church groups, business and farming organisations and which culminated in a creative event in the Abbey, Ireland’s National Theatre, just in advance of the signing of the Paris Climate Agreement.
The Gatherings have through this period been supported by the Green Foundation Ireland, which is an Irish foundation for green cultural change, affiliated to the Green European Foundation.
